Shri Shantidasji Maharaj Saheb was born on 18 October 1903 at Village Jagana, Palanpur taluka, Gujarat, in the family of Matrushri Kunvarbai Mobatbhai Bholiya and father Mobatbhai Harsingbhai Bholiya.

Since the childhood he devoted his life to quench the thirst of Spiritual Philosophy and left home at the age of 14, he then came across with Kabir Ashram, Jamnagar which was lead by Mahant Shri Purshottamdasji Maharaj Saheb at that time. Guru Shri Purshottamdasji Maharaj Saheb identified the quality of true disciple in Shri Shantidasji Maharaj Saheb and made his disciple on 21 August 1918 and just after 27 days he was made his successor . On 18 September 1918, Shri Shantidasji Maharaj Saheb became the 7 Mahant of Kabir Ashram Jamnagar. Shri Purshottamdasji Maharaj took Samadhi on 15 July 1919.
