Sadguru Kabir Saheb is World Famous saint. Who taught the path of Truth, Non-violence, Unity, Universal Brotherhood and Service to Humanity. He also said that God is one He has many names. He is dwelling in each and every heart. One who does service to humanity does service to God. Message of Sadguru Kabir Saheb is very simple.

The Kabir Ashram of Jamnagar was established in 17th Centaury, from that time the Ashram is involved in preaching the message of Sadguru Kabir Saheb.

The first Mahant Saheb was Shri 108 Khemdasji Maharaj.

Second in the line was Shri 108 Mahant Nirbhaydasji Saheb who became Mahant of this Ashram in 1779.

Shri 108 Mahant Jeevandasji Maharaj Saheb was honored as the third Mahant Saheb in 1799 at his early age of 27 years. He served as the Mahant Shri of this ashram for 50 years.

Shri Mohandasji Maharaj Saheb succeeded him in 1849.

He appointed Mahant Shri Amardasji Maharaj Saheb as his successor in 1881.

Just two year later Mahant Amardasji Saheb appointed his disciple Mahant Shri Purshottamdasji Maharaj Saheb as sixth Mahant of Shri Kabir Ashram Jamnagar in 1883.

The site where the old Ashram was started became inadequate because of growing number of followers. At that time Sant Ramdasji Saheb a disciple of Mahant Purshottamdasji Maharaj Saheb inspired then the King of Jamnagar Jam Vibhaji to donate the present site of the Ashram in 1894.

Mahant Shri Shantidasji Maharaj Saheb was appointed as the Mahant of Shri Kabir Ashram Jamnagar in 1918. Mahant Shri Shantidasji Maharaj Saheb was a gyan yogi and a karma yogi, he worked very hard to develop this Ashram and also helped the Hajur Saheb of Kabir Panth to make progress in every aspect and bring Kabir Panth in light. He was honored by Hajur Saheb with the title “KABIR PANTH PANCHANAN”, which means the Great Lion of Kabir Panth. He was very brave and out spoken.

Just after 10 years of his appointment he chooses Mahant Shri Ramswarupdasji Maharaj Saheb as his successor and appointed Mahant Shri of Kabir Ashram Jamnagar in 1928.

Both Mahant Saheb worked together for nearly 55 years to bring this ashram to the present stage. Mahant Shri Ramswarupdasji Maharaj Saheb has established several Institutions for the spiritual and physical benefit of mankind. Among them Samarpan General Hospital, Samarpan Eye Hospital, Ram Kabir Shanti Goushala, Shri Sadguru Shanti Sarvajanik Davakhana etc., at Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Shri 108 Shri Ramswarupdasji Maharaj Saheb took Samadhi on 28 January 1995.

Mahant Shri Ramswarupdasji Maharaj Saheb has appointed Mahant Shri Jagdishdasji Maharaj Saheb as his successor on 15 February 1990.  Mahant Shri Jagdishdasji Maharaj Saheb is a well known Sanskrit scholar. He studied Hindu Scriptures and Scriptures of other religions at Banaras Hindu University. He holds many Master degrees including Master of Sanskrit Literature, Master of Samkhya and Yoga Philosophy, Master of Vedanta Philosophy. He was also a Law Graduate.

Current Mahant Shri Rameshwardasji Maharaj Saheb has become the Mahant in 2009. Well Educated and Scholor of Sanskrit from Kashi Hindu Vishvavidhyalaya. He objective of life is to serve the Humanity and spread the message of Kabir Saheb and his Guru Shri Jagdishdasji Saheb, throughout the world.
